How do I get the pattern to stop after I have triggered a note?

Short of hitting the panic button in my program (renoise 1.9) it refuses to stop playing (other karmafx patches work fine). Even with "note offs" as well as if I mute the track it is on, it continues to play.
I was thinking perhaps I need to add a module that tells it to stop, or adjust something, but I'm rather noobish here so I'm at a loss.

turn the "gate" option on in the amp module

tbh i dont know why its not on in the first place? is it cause real tb303s were like that?

I have now fixed all these patches in v1.00 RC4 so they always detrigger on note off events.
