When using an input module, whats the best way to create a noise gate. If I'm playing my guitar through distortion and such in KarmaFX, it can get quite noisy...I get the feeling all the modules needed to assemble a gate are available but not quite sure how to approach it...
Or is a decent gate module a possible new feature?
Whats the best way to gate?

Re: Whats the best way to gate?
I belive you can create a very simple noise gate using this setup:
where envFollow it set to control left and right in the stereo amp.
In v.1.05 you can replace the stereo amp with the standard Amplifier (since that trigger bug you found will be fixed )
Anyway, the idea is that the envelope follower controls the volume level, but you can tweak the volume level and hence the "threshold" for gating.
I think it should work...but don't know if that is the effect you were after?
Code: Select all
input -> stereo amp -> output

-->envFollow---
